Hi, I’m Luna.
I’ve been an art teacher for over 20 years. And when I wasn’t teaching, I was painting or drawing.
Below is one of the first paintings I ever did.
It’s from a photo of my niece one warm summers day on a sunny beach in 90s France.
My house is overflowing with the art I’ve made over the years, but I’ve never really had the confidence to promote my work.
So I did commission work, and sold pieces here and there, but only when people asked.

But that’s changing, thanks to you!
In late Autumn of 2017 I started putting my work on Instagram. It’s been more than 5 years since then, and I’ve posted a LOT of illustrations.
All the amazing positive feedback I’ve gotten from followers and passers-by on social media has given me the pride in my work that I needed to share it more widely.
And it also goes without saying; the many long evenings wearing my pencils down to their nibs, well into the early hours of the morning, has made me a much better illustrator (as you can see below)!

Now I’m finally putting my work out there for people to see, and to buy!
So, if you like my work, then please order some to decorate your walls, and help me with my plan:
1) Sell my artwork on this website.
2) Save enough money to move to the seaside.
3) Work as an artist, and paint every day.
Thanks for reading about me 😊
Put your email in at the bottom of the page if you want see more of my work, and hear the rest of my story.
Luna’s Art Style
Lunas painting style is influenced by the French impressionists.
People describe her work as deeply atmospheric, capturing a childlike naivety, inspired by the innocence and optimism of the 1960s.
The relaxed separation between the subject and the background creates a sense of peering into a greater reality. Like a snap-shot in time, it leaves the viewer with a feeling of nostalgia for a place they never knew.
